Marcella Sánchez is a jewelry artist born on Long Island, New York and is currently based in Providence, Rhode Island. She received her BFA in Jewelry and Metalsmithing from the Rhode Island School of Design.

Marcella explores the value of process rather than material and is currently focused on experimenting with an unexplored manipulation of nearly-melted aluminum. She is inspired by her dreams, experiences with nature, and automatic drawing. She sees graphite drawings as an avenue for texturally translating her feelings into metal. Through unconventional and intuitive processes, she experiments with transferring shapes, gradients, and tactility she pulls from her drawings. As an artist, Marcella aims to create whimsical work that invites viewers into the world she has imagined.
